This course chronologically surveys American history from the Administration of George Washington to the present. Thematic units cover the building of the nation, territorial expansion, the Civil War, Imperialism, Progressivism and the events of the 20th and 21st century. The focus of the course is to have students understand the interrelationship between events of the past and the actions of today.
